At an evening event in Billericay organised by The Essex Partnership University Trust, new Chair Pam Mulholland received the award for the Friends’ fundraising teams – who, since 1949, have provided items for wards and departments, which the NHS budget couldn’t supply – from Christmas cheer to hoists over every in-patient bed.
The current team of fundraisers are still working hard to purchase special items which will make all the difference to treatments and therapies.
It was great to see that several members of the Hospital staff team also won awards at this special evening. We hope to thank them personally – and congratulate them at our second Ice Cream Day on 4th July!
